I can not believe it has taken me 18 years to finally sit down and watch the HBO series Band of Brothers. The History Channel was airing it last night and I sat down to watch the first episode. I didn't get up (except for snacks) until I had watched the whole entire series!! It was that good!
I must have cried through most of it. It's incredible how they depicted the events of Easy Company and their trek through Europe during the war. They started out on D-Day at Normandy and ended by liberating a concentration camp. The events these men lived through (and the others died in) are incredible.
If you've never watched this, take the time to sit down and do so. It will give you a completely chilling and different take on WWII.
