Beth - the shot of the steps is looking from the bottom up. It's such a skinny spiral staircase.Carleen- I was dizzy by the time I got to the top.Mrs. Cooper - Yes I walked up all those steps. Barely made it at the end. Got back down and my son wanted to go back up again! Trish - Ponce Inlet is in Florida just south of Daytona Beach.
I LOVE these!!! I'm a pushover for lighthouses in the first place. But I don't recall ever seeing a red one before.

I wish we had some of these where I am from (but I don't think landlocked lakes need lighthouses :). They have always had a calming effect on me though I've never seen one in person.

After the fall I just had with a fractured tail bone -- it will be a while before I climb anything. TFSBeautiful picture -- I love lighthouses.
That's a tall lighthouse which I will not be able to climb due to my injured ankle. :P
