Husband Available to Clean YOUR Garage!

Clean out the garage. That is what the project for this weekend is at our household. I do believe WWIII will break out before the task is done! So I am pleading with everyone I know to please let my silly hubby clean out YOUR garage instead!

What's the big issue you ask? Well..... he seems to think that all new stuff and stuff that we actually use needs to go to the side of the road (where the trash people will pick it up). This is the stuff he is putting down there:

-my son's new scooter
-the tent I just bought that we only used once so far
-my books! (let me just say, I am a book rep by profession so he'd be throwing out my inventory!)
-shelves that I keep my book inventory on
-beach and pool toys - gee, why should I go buy these again in just a couple weeks?
-any and all clothes (the laundry room is in the garage so these are the clothes we actually wear and are in line to be washed. Now I know why we never have any clothes - he throws them out!)

This is the stuff he seems to think we need to keep:

-the ugliest lamp you've ever seen that he bought for $3 at the goodwill eight years ago - it sits in a big box taking up LOTS of space
-a horse saddle (do we own a horse? NO!)
-a motor for a boat (do we own a boat? NO!)
-rusted junk from an old hardware store that closed 20 some odd years ago (has he ever used any of it or will he? NO!)

I just can't take it anymore. The neighbors must think we are nuts! Although I'm sure they already thought that before today.

So funny! I'll offer you my husband to clean out all your old paperwork...he READs EVERYTHING...seriously, 2 yr old utility bills can't be that interesting!

Stopping by late from Ann's VGNO! Come over & check out my latest creation, a mini album from local Portland area company Punky Sprouts. I'm very excited to share them with all the papercrafters out there & I'm sure even those who aren't will enjoy checking it out.

Hmmmm......what is worse I am wondering, a helpful misdirected husband or a husband who you will never find cleaning out the garage or doing any domestic chores (I wrote about his lack of interest a few weeks ago if you want to read more). Today he came out of the bathroom and said to me "the bathroom scales need new batteries" well just get the screwdriver and change them" I replied. "Oh no, no screwdriver required, you just flip out the old and put new ones in". Note the emphasis on "you" meaning he expects me to do it for him (he is the one on a diet and weighing in daily not me!)

Stopping by from VGNO belatedly - love this post, it had me laughing from start to finish. I hope you managed to rescue all that you value!
